Welcome to the AbbeyCross FIX API quick start guide!

This guide will walk you through the essential FIX functionalities, including authenticating, retrieving market data, and executing trades through ABX’s FIX Gateway (ABX, ABX FIX Gateway). ABX enables efficient foreign exchange trading by connecting clients with liquidity providers, ensuring timely and competitive pricing.

Please note: Payment instructions are currently not supported via FIX and are only available through ABX’s REST API.

Authentication

In order to use FIX client you’ll need to receive a certificate and credentials generated by AbbeyCross. Please contact us via [email protected] to receive them.

How to Authenticate

The authentication process is essential to initiate a FIX connection to AbbeyCross. The client begins the authentication by sending a Logon message to the ABX FIX Gateway. This Logon message (MsgType A) contains necessary credentials and encryption preferences. Upon successful validation, the ABX FIX Gateway responds with a Logon acknowledgment, establishing a secure session for further transactions.
